March and April have been a whirlwind of activity for the B360.TV team, marked by exciting new installations, high-stakes sporting events, and a steadfast commitment to safety and community. We've been powering productions, illuminating interviews, and ensuring every moment, from the smallest studio interview to the grandest finish line, looks absolutely spectacular.

Unveiling News Studio 2A: A New Era for Podcasts and Presentations

Our biggest news from the past few months is undoubtedly the successful installation of News Studio 2A, a comprehensive new podcast studio designed for versatility and visual impact. Our team meticulously managed every aspect of the lighting and rigging, crafting a space that is both functional and aesthetically stunning.

This new studio boasts a sweeping backdrop that cleverly doubles as both a bustling TV newsroom and a sleek corporate office environment. With a large desk accommodating one or two anchors plus guests, the studio offers a range of dynamic camera angles. From a wide establishing shot showcasing the entire news studio background to intimate close-ups for interviews and presentations utilising two optional virtual screens, News Studio 2A is set to become a go-to for top-tier content creation.

Powering the Passion: On the Road with Football and Rugby

March and April saw B360.TV deeply embedded in the heart of the action, providing essential power and lighting for a string of major sporting events.

We were back at Deepdale for FA Cup action, proudly supplying our robust Stage V Twin Generators and crucial pitch-side lighting support for Preston North End's Round 6 match. Ensuring the power and the perfect illumination was key to a great game for fans and broadcasters alike.

The FA Cup frenzy continued throughout Round 5. B360.TV was instrumental in capturing all the excitement for the matches including Preston Vs Burnley, Man Utd Vs Fulham, and Bournemouth Vs Wolves. For these clashes, we provided essential Stage V Twin Generators, comprehensive Cabling & Distribution, and a full BS7909 Sign Off, guaranteeing safety and reliability. Crucially, our team also delivered top-notch Live Pitch & Studio Lighting, ensuring every thrilling moment looked spectacular for viewers at home.

Our commitment to top-tier sports broadcasting continued with BBC Sport's FA Cup Semi-Final clash between Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. B360.TV was delighted to provide studio and pitch-side lighting and crew for this significant match. Our versatile fixture kit for the studio setup included ETC Studio LED Profiles, Desisti Piccoletto, Astra Litepanels 6 x LED Pars, and Gemini 1x1 Hards. A massive thanks to our brilliant Gaffer on this project, Nick Holloway, and our skilled Lighting Sparky, Kyle O'Hara, for their exceptional work.

Beyond the football pitch, we were incredibly proud to power the passion of the Women's Six Nations in March. We provided robust power solutions for the thrilling England vs. Italy and England vs. Wales matches, ensuring seamless broadcasts of these vital international contests.

Bullseyes, Finish Lines, and Major Production Hubs: Diverse Demands, Reliable Solutions

Our expertise extended beyond the realm of traditional sports. It was a Bullseye in Minehead! For ITV Darts, B360.TV supplied Stage V Twin Generators, comprehensive Cabling & Distribution, and executed a full BS7909 Sign Off. This ensured safe, reliable power and perfect illumination for all the intense darts action.

For the 4th consecutive year, B360.TV was thrilled to light up the iconic finish line of the London Marathon. Working directly with the London Marathon organisers, we provided lighting and crew for the finish line at the Mall outside Buckingham Palace. Our dedicated team, armed with 18 x Aperture 1200d and 12 x Cream Source Vortex 8 fixtures, ensured every emotional finish was perfectly captured. Huge credit to our Gaffer, Darren Barden, and our Lighting Project Manager, Will Sarkisian, for their brilliant work on this truly special event.

When it comes to major production hubs, Dragon Studios Wales in Bridgend knows the importance of power you can trust. With their multiple sound stages and extensive facilities demanding a reliable supply, they chose B360’s Stage V Twin Pack generators for their broadcasting power needs. This is a testament to our dependable performance for large-scale productions, every time.

Honouring History and Enhancing Safety

April also saw us play a proud part in honouring history at the VE Day Celebrations in London. We supported the BBC's live broadcast from the historic Richmond Terrace, providing crucial infrastructure to ensure the smooth running of this significant event. Our contribution included Stage V Twinset Generators for reliable power, comprehensive Cabling and Distribution, DDA Ramps for accessibility, and a full BS7909 Sign-off, guaranteeing the highest safety standards for all temporary electrical installations. It was an honour to contribute to such a momentous occasion, remembering and paying tribute to those who sacrificed so much.

Finally, our commitment to our team's well-being took a significant step forward. We're thrilled to announce that B360.TV is now even safer with the installation of a fully funded, on-site defibrillator in our warehouse. This vital piece of equipment, complete with all necessary installation, significantly enhances our ability to respond to emergencies and could be a lifesaver for team members or nearby offices. We are incredibly grateful to B360.TV for their dedication to the well-being of our team and community.

As you can see, March and April have been incredibly productive and rewarding months for B360.TV. We look forward to continuing to provide cutting-edge solutions and reliable support for productions of all scales in the months to come!
